Alright guys, this newsletter thingy is scaring us. Why? Because it requires COMMITMENT. And if there’s anything we resonate with in Millennialism, it is our tendency to get bored easily.
PS: you will notice a pattern of us blaming all our shortfalls on “millennialism”.
It’s just a demographic segmentation.. But we intentionally refuse to understand that. Excuse us, but Millennialism is a state of mind. “Nug6a”
The weekly trend
This week’s trend column has been cancelled due to the lack of the writers’ social activities.

The Saudi Youth at work
Given our years of experience, and constant observation of others, we noticed a behavioral pattern across our fellow Saudis in the workplace. No we don’t commend them, secretly we judge them, and deep down we know we are them. This is kind of turning into a therapy session...
We are starting strong with..
The Power-obsessed: Become a Minister before 28. Teamwork? Who is she?
They’re admired by managers but disliked by colleagues. They will literally do anything to reach the top, blinded by delusional “power” and success.
Now onto who we identify with most..
The Too-invested: No it’s not a 9-5 job. “I’m making an impact, do you UNDERSTAND?!”
Work is life, and life is work. Their projects are their personalities, which btw is most likely “ISTJ”. Whenever something doesn’t go as planned, their day is officially ruined.
Our third persona, you know who you are..
The Risk-averse: We have speculations around their millennial eligibility.
They are not willing to explore any other options. Comfort zones is what they know, and leaving its premises seems like a nightmare.
Here comes the worst of them all..
The Ego-centric: Masters of playing Hard to Get. اللي يبيني يجيني
They are open to exploring other opportunities. However, a voice inside of them, constantly encourages their egoistic nature and reminds them of their deep rooted Saudi characteristic, “dignity above all”.
Standby for the next ones, they’re already leaving..
The Hoppers: #commitment_issues, #a_new_email_for_every_new_trial
There are more companies on their LinkedIn profile than what’s listed in the Stock Market.
We wanted to end off on a good note with everyone’s favorite..
The Overly-nice or The Flirt?: They come to work for purposes we can’t identify.
I mean we see them sitting at their desks every once in a while, but you’ll most likely find them “chatting” with every potential future partner. Oh, and they’re the best gift-givers … their desks are never out of chocolate.
Recommendations:
To make our newsletter more full, we wanted to share some of our favorite things over the last week:
🐍 Cobra Kai, it’s a high school show on Netflix which is a spin-off from the infamous Karate Kid movies . If you are looking for inspiration, watch it.
🚘 Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua’s drama over her latest single: Driver’s License. It is also what the fellow high-schoolers are talking about.
👑 Princess Diaries, never gets old.
🌽 سوق المزارعين اللي ما سمحوا لنا ندخله يوم وصلنا.
🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞 Do we need to say more?
🎙 Podcast Pass The Kabsa, fun and light conversations if you want to silently hangout with “friends”.
(Your activity for today: count how many times we used “millennial/ism” in this newsletter?)
The way this newsletter exposed me for being a Hopper.. I took that personally.
Great newsletter. Had a smile at the Too-invested ;-)
